Specifications for Graphics
Some Tutorials are For PSP7, but you should be able to use in all versions
Graphic Sizes and Dimensions:
When doing standard graphics, the first things to keep in mind is the file size and the dimensions.
Not everyone likes huge graphics that take up a large armount of space on their webpages or in e-mails
or guestbooks. Unless otherwise specified, you should keep your graphic sizes to around 250x360,
but no larger than 300x300.
File Formats :
Whether you agree or not, JPG's are easier to control the size of, contain more web-friendly
colours and allow text to show up more clearly. So my preferred graphic format is JPG.
But, please DO NOT optimize the graphic to such a low file size that the text is not legible
or the font and picture is not clear.
HOW TO OPTIMIZE GRAPHICS IN PSP
GIF's should be used only for transparencies or animations.
Transparent Gifs:
If you're not good at transparencies, I prefer that you just use a regular background.
Rather than rush through your graphics to get them done, take the time to check your
transparencies on a darker or lighter background. If you see uneven edges that do not
blend in, clean them up as best as you can. Graphics don't look professional and finished
when there is an obvious white (or any other Colour) edge around them.
I will return them to you to be redone if that happens.
Graphic Shapes:
Graphics to not have to be square all of the time, in fact having graphics that are rectangular,
circular or other geometric shapes are a nice change. There are many masks and frames available that
allow you to change shapes and appreance of your graphics.
Borders & Frames:
Graphics look more finished and professional with borders or frames.
So please consider using them.

Images Used On Graphics:
Please make sure images are of fine quality and not blurred. When enlarging or reducing images
to fit, they sometimes get blurry and the quality is diminished. . Here's how to enhance
some of those images that may get distorted due to resizing and optimizing.

Fonts & Text:
1) Please make sure that you use colours that stand out yet coordinate with the Graphic you are using.
2) Select a Font appropriate to the Design and Theme of the Graphic
DO NOT USE MORE THAN TWO FONT STYLES IN A GRAPHIC
STANDARD IS ONE SERIF AND ONE SANS-SERIF
2) When possible, make use of white space; try not to put text over the graphic itself.
3) Please make sure text is legible and clear.
4) PLEASE check Your Spelling!
