A bidding spell is a spell where you command a particular thing to happen without the co-operation of those involved or to make something happen that is against the persons natural inclination.

To Stop Smoking:

Cast your circle

Ground and center

Using lavender incense, oil (upon a candle) or herb form.
Focus on a mental picture of yourself as a non-smoker.
Once the vision of you the non-smoker is clear in your mind cast the following:
I call upon Tara and her essential energy of answering pleas for assistance.
To break the habit of smoking I cannot go alone.
Blessed Tara hear my call and come to my aide, take this addiction away.
Tonight I smoke my last cigarette; tomorrow I waken refreshed with
no desire to feed my addiction.
As I will it so mote it be. And it is so
